Apply for the Test

Once your learner permit is more than 6 months old you can then prepare in applying for the driving test. You can apply for the driving test before your the 6 months expires but be sure to check with the RSA or your driving instructor as they will be able to give you an approximate waiting time for a driving test. If you apply too soon for the driving test and your permit is under 6 months you will have to reschedule your driving test date. You can reschedule up to three times before you will have to reapply for the driving test.

The cost of applying for the driving test is €85 and you can apply on-line or by post. You can pick up an application at your local library,or local test centre. Below you will see the link for the application for the driving test on-line.
