The Driving Test Form

Understanding the driving test report can be daunting. You need to know about each section and that there are 18 sections. The report sheet has 3 different grades on it. A Grade 1 fault (green) does not affect the test result. To pass the driving test a candidate must not accrue more than eight Grade 2 faults (blue) over the entire test.

A candidate can also fail the driving test if they accrue four Grade 2 faults (blue) for a single heading. An example of this would be if four Grade 2 faults were accrued under Observation on Roundabouts!

A candidate can fail the driving test if they accrue six Grade 2 faults (blue) under a single heading. For example, the candidate could have a combination of : three Grade 2 faults under observation on roundabouts, two Grade 2 faults under observation on moving off, and one Grade 2 fault under observation on turning right.

A single Grade 3 fault will fail a candidate sitting their driving test.

Good luck.
